surgery advice

Hi Folks
Ive had UC for 13 years.
Initially it took 2 years to get medication correct, eventually having Infliximab infusions successfully for 8 years. It was then decided that as I had been on it so long that I should stop it and see what happens.
I was generally ok for about 4 months. Since then I have had repeated flare-ups and hospital admissions, despite trying infliximab again, then vedolizimab, then golimimab.
I am now on Tofacitinib (Xelanz) which has helped and am no longer on oral steroids (after 2 years of continuous prednisilone) I am not completely symptom free and have lots of joint pain but I am better than I have been for a while.

My dilemma is, do I have surgery whilst I am well or do I live in hope that symptoms will improve even more (14 wks treatment so far) Or am I just putting off the inevitible?
IF surgery, which surgery should I opt for?
UC has controlled OUR lives for such a long time.
This dilemma is consuming my every thought at the moment, I don't know what to do.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks
